    Stephanie,
I remember the first day I met you. It was at orientation for Jay’s Camp. Oh, how we hated that job. We were constantly hiding out in the trampolines, or in the back forest area, I think the bathroom stalls became a hiding spot more than we both would like to admit. I remember getting to high school and being so excited when I saw you in school! We were friends throughout high school and I remember coming into Fitness 19 and Starbucks just to see your smiling face since you were always working! I listened to the song Gone So Young by Amber Pacific for the first time since August 15th of last year. I remember when that song came out and we were obsessed with it! Now every time I hear that song, I can’t help but think of you and it NEVER fails to bring tears to my eyes. I miss you so much. It has been hard to talk about you with anyone. I know life didn’t always deal you the most ideal hand to play, it never seems to be that way with anyone. I wish I could call you up and laugh about how dumb people are like we used to. I wish you had gotten the chance to really experience life and all the opportunities it had to offer you. I miss you so much Steph. You are FOREVER in my heart. Love you girl.

  3. Your Friend says:

    Steph,
We were friends mostly my freshman and sophmore year of high school. You switched into my chemistry class sophmore year. You were different than most of my friends, but very genuine. We always sat by each other and talked. I remember you waiting for me after class. We never got to be great friends but as our friendship grew through school, I could tell you were a really amazing person. I don’t know your story or what lead you to this unfortunate death, but I wish you could have grew into the person we all knew you could be. You were always very optimistic and self-assured. You didn’t follow the crowd because you didn’t need their approval. You had a great sense of humor and I remember you always laughing. I know you are in a better place than you were here on earth. I pray for you and your family.
    Love, Your friend

John, I am so sorry. I can’t fathom the pain you must feel. I have fond memories of our time together in Hawaii in the early 1990s when Stephanie was a toddler. She was always smiling and laughing…such a happy young girl. I am at a loss for words to express how sorry I am for your loss. You have my friendship always, and I pray God gives you and your family peace and comfort.

I miss and love you Stephanie. I didn’t know about this site until now…. Every post has touched my heart. I have tears in my eyes, but I still feel you around me. We became friends Freshman year of high school and immediately we clicked. We had health class together and I found it a few weeks ago. It broke my heart because we did a skit on the side effects and damages that drugs do to the human body. I always read our notes that we exchanged throughout the school day in the halls at Stevenson and I always look back to the year books. You always wrote the best notes and drew the cutest pictures. I know we’ll see each other again but until then I’ll miss you more and more everyday!

This is such a beautiful website to remember great memories with Stephanie. My deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family as you struggle through the grief and sadness. Please know that you are in my thoughts. I remember the day I met Stephanie when I was 14. She was such an easy girl to talk to we had SO much in common. We clicked instantly and from there to this day she will always be my one and only best friend. The morning I heard the news my whole life changed and I begged that there had been some mistake. She planned to go to school, stop working at the job she was at, and start fresh; and then she was gone. We held a memorial at my house for Stephanie and we all shared our memories with her under the sky. With these memories we will keep her alive forever. All together we planted a tree in her honor that I am watching grow. She was the only girl I knew who would keep all my secrets and give me the best advice whenever I need her even if it wasn’t a good time. I had so many amazing times with Stephanie but one of the most memorable is when she snuck and wrote ” barbika is my best friend in the entire world. its been that way forever. i ♥ you dearly booo, bffaeaeae! love stephskyy mwuhhhhh” on my Facebook info while I wasn’t by my computer. The next night she woke up crying from a dream and said “I just had a dream that you told me you had to erase the message I wrote on your Facebook… promise me you’ll keep it there forever” and I promise I will. I love Stephanie with all my heart and there is not one day that goes by where I’m not missing her. I know that she will always be watching over us all.

    Dearest Tree Family,

My words cannot express the sadness in my heart for the loss of Stephanie. My entire family loved and adored her. She lit up the world with her gorgeous smile and her enthusiasm for life. I am so grateful for the time that I was blessed to have known her. Now she is an angel that will watch over your family. I loved Stephanie and the world lost some of its light the day she passed. God Bless you all, and thank you for creating such a truly special human being.

    All my Love,

    Rachael Makaryk a.k.a. Momma Frump

    • Dad says:

Thanks, Rachael, for your very kind words. Stephanie and Dakota made a very cute couple, and I always laughed at the whole “Frumpy” thing that they created…
